Rome is a city which continues to delight and surprise. The excavations of the ancient city continue today, and the addition
of modern attractions continues. Enjoy the panorama of Rome by having a cocktail at sunset on one of the famous roof bars,
or see the city from the hot air balloon in Villa Borghese. Staying in Rome, you can also explore Lazio, or stay in Lazio
with easy train access to Rome from your tranquil retreat in the countryside. The attractions can be divided like the points
of a compass. Starting in the north with some of the most important Etruscan sites, moving to the East and the beautiful gardens
and thermal spas of Tivoli, then to the south and the Castelli Romani, home to the Pope's summer residence, and finally to
the West with the Sea and the Roman ruins at Ostia Antica. A week in this area is certainly not enough time to see all the
beautiful sights.
