Surrounded by 300 wooded acres on an island off South Carolina's southern coast, Wyndham Ocean Ridge offers a complete range of recreational facilities in a quiet getaway made for relaxation. To keep you busy, an 18-hole championship golf course is adjacent to the resort. Other resort amenities include four hard-surface tennis courts, a pool, a playground, and a recreation building, where you'll find VCR and tape rentals, an exercise room, and miniature golf. Wyndham Ocean Ridge also has a resort tram, which operates from April 1 to Oct.29 and will take you to Wyndham's beach cabana. Historic Beaufort, Savannah and Hilton Head are two hours from Edisto.

• Each unit at Wyndham Ocean Ridge is air-conditioned and has cable television, a washer/dryer, a dishwasher, and a garbage disposal. Some units have a whirlpool/hot tub.
• One-bedroom units (maximum occupancy 4) have 1 bath, 1 queen bed and 1 queen sleep sofa.
• Two-bedroom units (maximum occupancy 6) have 2 baths, 1 king bed, 1 queen bed or 2 twin beds, and 1 queen sleep sofa.
• Two-bedroom loft units (maximum occupancy 8) have 2 baths, 2 queen beds, 1 double bed and 1 queen sleep sofa OR 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds and 1 queen sleep sofa.

Fairfield Ocean Ridge is located on Edisto Island, 45 miles South of Charleston and 95 miles North of Savannah. From Charleston, take US Hwy 17 South to State Hwy 174 East. Travel 22 miles to Fairfield Ocean Ridge. Just as you enter the town limits, turn right onto Jungle Rd. Go to stop sign and turn right. Go 3/4 of a mile and turn left into Ocean Ridge entrance. From Savannah, take I-95 to Point South Exit 33 to US Hwy 17 through Jacksonboro, cross the Edisto River. Proceed six miles and turn right on State Hwy 174 East. Proceed as above. Driving distance is 2 1/2 hours to Hilton Head and 3 1/2 hours to Myrtle Beach.
