Inverness by the Sea

From a 32-mile stretch of beach to one of America's leading historic districts, you'll find plenty to see and do in Galveston while vacationing at Inverness by the Sea. The resort is across the street from the Gulf and a mile from the beach. On-site, you'll find tennis and basketball courts, an outdoor pool, a whirlpool, exercise equipment, and barbecue grills. Golf, horseback riding, and many water activities can be enjoyed near Inverness by the Sea as well. Sightseers can visit the Strand Historic District, Moody Gardens, and the Railroad Museum.

• Your Inverness by the Sea vacation home is air-conditioned and has a balcony, ceiling fans and a kitchen with a microwave. Some units have a washer/dryer.
• Two-bedroom units (maximum occupancy 6) have 1.75 baths, 2 queen beds and 1 sleep sofa.
• The resort is across the street from the Gulf; however, all units have a Gulf view.
• Laundry facilities are available on-site.
• Pets are not allowed at this resort.
• A US$200 security deposit (check or credit card) is required at check-in during weeks 9 through 13 each year. All other weeks will require a credit card imprint only.
• Mid-April brings the annual "Beach Party" weekend. Guests should expect long traffic delays and a carnival-type atmosphere.
• Some covered parking is available; however, the resort cannot accommodate motor homes, RVs or boats.
• A car is recommended to fully enjoy the area.

The nearest major airport is William P. Hobby Airport in Houston, 42 miles away. From the airport, take I-45 south to Galveston, exit onto 61st Street and follow to the first traffic light and turn right (61st Street). Follow to Seawall Blvd. Turn right (west) and the resort is approximately 1 1/2 miles farther. Check-in at the office located at the backof the property.
