Vacation Club

The Vacation Club offers a host of activities and attractions for any time of the year. In the summer, you can play five of northern Michigan's premier golf courses; The Chief, Hawk's Eye, Arnold Palmer's The Legend, and a Tom Weiskopf course. Vacation Club resort-area amenities include an outdoor pool, a private beach club, tennis courts, shopping, three restaurants, and a health club with a full Nautilus program, sauna, and Wellness Spa. During the winter, ski, snowboard, or tube at Shanty Creek Resort, which boasts 41 downhill runs, a tubing park, and 19 miles of cross-country trails.

• Each one- and two-bedroom unit is air-conditioned and features telephone, cable television, a fireplace, a washer/dryer, and a full kitchen with dishwasher and microwave. Most units have whirlpool tubs.
• One-bedroom units (maximum occupancy 4) have 1 or 2 baths, 1 king or 2 double beds, and a Murphy bed.
• Two-bedroom units (maximum occupancy 6) have 2 baths, and 1 king bed, 1 queen bed and 1 sleep sofa OR 2 queen beds and 1 sleep sofa OR 1 king bed, 2 double beds and 1 Murphy bed OR 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds and 1 sleep sofa.
• Two-bedroom units (maximum occupancy 8) have 2 baths, and 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 1 double bed and 1 sleep sofa OR 1 king bed, 2 double beds and 1 sleep sofa OR 2 king beds, 1 sleep sofa and 1 Murphy bed.
• Please call the resort if you need specific unit information.
• Units with a ‘PB’ are 4 miles from the main resort area and close to an outdoor pool and golf.
• Although on-site, the beach is about 3 miles from the units.
• Pets are not allowed at this resort.
• Please notify the resort if you anticipate a late arrival.
• Check-in: 4 p.m. to midnight on Friday; 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday-Thursday.

Traverse City Cherry Capital Airport is about 37 mi. away. Take the Airport Access Road North to US 31, turn right onto M-72 East and travel 30 mi. to Kalkaska. Turn left onto US 131 North and travel 14 mi. to Mancelona. From Detroit, take I-75 N to Grayling, to M-72 W to Kalkaska, to US 131 N to Mancelona. From Chicago, take I-94 E to 196 N to Grand Rapids, to US 131 N to Mancelona. At stoplight in Mancelona, turn left (West) on M-88 for approx 4 mi. to Vacation Club Check-in Center.
