Pono Kai Resort, located on the eastern coast of Kauai, is just such a place. Here you can relax by the resort's outdoor pool or on the beach. You can practice your putting on the onsite greens, or play volleyball, tennis, shuffleboard and croquet. Several golf courses are located close by. Or, if you'd rather, hit the water for some surfing, snorkeling, boating or fishing. Kauai is called the "Garden Isle" because of its natural beauty. Take a helicopter tour and see every lovely beach and scenic viewpoint.

• All units at Pono Kai Resort have 2 televisions, a telephone, VCR, stereo, hairdryer, iron, and ironing board.
• Studio units and some 1 bedroom units have partial kitchens.
• Imperial and Presidential units have full kitchens.
• Air-conditioning is only in the living room of the 1 bedroom units.
• 2 bedroom units have air-conditioning in the master bedroom and living room.
• Please contact the resort for additional information concerning maid service and fees.
• Studio units (maximum occupancy 2) have 1 bath and a full murphy bed.
• 1 bedroom units (maximum occupancy 4) have 1 bath, 1 queen bed, and a sleep sofa.
• 2 bedroom units (maximum occupancy 6) have 2 baths, 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 1 sleep sofa.
• There are charges for local and long distance calls.
• A security deposit of US$50 is due at check-in.
• For a nominal fee, portable cribs and rollaways are available by request.
• Highchairs and playpens are available upon request.
• Washers/dryers are available in each building, except the "K" building.
• All Hawaii resorts have a Transient Accommodations Tax for time-share rooms. This tax will range from US$15-$35 per room confirmed and will be collected by the resort.

From the Lihue Airport, turn left onto Ahukini Road. At the stop light, turn right onto H56 North. Stay on this road for about 20 minutes (5.5 miles), and the resort will be on the right.
