Big city dwellers have been reclaiming their sanity in the beautiful, serene Pocono Mountains for decades. Spend a week at
this four-season destination, and you'll understand why.
Beautiful mountain lakes, rivers and streams teem with trout and American black bears in search of a meal. Hawks and raptors
seem to share the picturesque Appalachian Trail with the hikers below. The crisp mountain air alone elicits peace and serenity
among visitors.
Add in Endless Vacation Rentals accommodations that allow you to enjoy the simple pleasures of a home-cooked meal - or a spectacular
sunset view on your private deck - and you can imagine why travelers return year after year to abandon their everyday stresses.
But not everyone in the Poconos is looking for rest and relaxation. For those wanting more adventure out of their Poconos
vacation, there are many year-round activities to get the blood pumping, such as canoeing and white-water rafting the Delaware
and Lehigh Rivers, snowboarding at the Camelback, Elk Mountain and Shawnee Mountain Ski Areas, or watching a NASCAR Spring
Cup Series Race at the Pocono Raceway. There are even opportunities for gaming following the recent addition of casinos in
Mount Airy and Allentown areas.
In the Poconos, the area's beauty never changes, only how visitors choose to enjoy it.
