A small city with big-city conveniences, Salt Lake City is the proud home of the NBA's Utah Jazz and a former host of the
Winter Olympics. What this means for visitors is that there's plenty to see and do within the city limits, such as exploring
Temple Square and the Museum of Church History and Art, catching a basketball game, enjoying a nice meal or shopping for a
special souvenir at The Gateway Mall.
What this also means to visitors is that, outside the city limits, outdoor adventure is just minutes away. And this four-season
playground has plenty of wilderness action to offer.
During the colder months, thrill-seekers have quick access to the Wasatch Mountains' seven stellar ski resorts. Some say the
snow is especially light and oh-so-perfect because storms pull moisture from the nearby Salt Lake and deposit on the mountains
for everyone to enjoy.
As summer months approach, Salt Lake City vacation activities switch gears to mountain biking, hiking, golfing, camping and
river canoeing. Boating and sailing on the Great Salt Lake is also possible year-round, because the lake never freezes.
In any season, your Endless Vacation Rentals accommodations will afford you the space to stretch out, stow your gear and enjoy
the amazing views.

Tuscany. This restaurant, owned by former Utah Jazz player Mark Eaten, is highly regarded for its consistently good seasonal
Italian food, reasonable prices and prime Cottonwood Canyon location.
Five All's. This old-English restaurant is very romantic, in a medieval , served-by-a-merry-wench sort of way. Each of your
five courses is sure to please. Reservation required.
Play...
Tour Utah's meadows on a snowmobile. Experience the exhilaration of a snowmobile tour some of Utah's most scenic winter trails.
Tours are available for as little as one hour, or as long as a full day.
Ski one of 13 Utah resorts. Among the area's best mountains to visit include Snowbird, Brighton, Deer Valley and Park City.
"Float" in the Great Salt Lake. The lake water's salinity is higher when the water level is lower, making it possible to float.
For your best bet try Gunnison Bay, the saltiest of the three separate parts of the lake.
Explore...
The Hill Aerospace Museum. History buffs can see more than 70 military planes spanning the history of aerial warfare. They
include a mix of retired planes, replicas and firepower - even a replica of the first atomic bomb.
The Bonneville Salt Flats. The Flats look entirely different depending on the season: during the winter, a thin layer of
water makes the Flats look like an endless sea; during the summer, the water evaporates, leaving behind a layer of salt so
smooth and barren that land speed records are regular attempted here.
Clarke Planetarium. Families love this free (yes, free) and educational museum conveniently located in the downtown Gateway
Shopping District. The museum is also attached to an IMAX theater.
Shop...
Trolley Square Mall. This mall, popular with tourists and locals alike, features upscale stores and a Whole Foods grocery
store. A historic Trolley, converted into a pub, sits out front.
Downtown Gateway. This inviting open-air shopping destination proudly showcases more than 130 shops and restaurants, including
Barnes & Noble, The Gap, Urban Outfitters and Abercrombie and Fitch.
