You may be wondering how a city with 1.3 million residents - and countless yearly visitors - could exude such a small-town
vibe. But that's what makes San Diego so special. California's second-largest city allows you to enjoy all of the amenities
of a major tourist destination and still "feel" intimate and inviting. And this allows your San Diego vacation to be whatever
you want it to be.
Looking to escape the furious pace of everyday life? Slow down with a stroll through a park, a walk along a secluded beach,
or a saunter down a coastal hiking trail. Need some quality family time? Visit Shamu and friends at SeaWorld, examine the
amazing scale models at Legoland, or observe the giant pandas at the world-famous San Diego Zoo. Looking for more cultural
pursuits? Admire the Victorian style buildings and haute cuisine in the Gaslamp Quarter, attend a free organ recital in Balboa
Park, or tour one of the city's many fantastic museums (Automotive Museum, Mingei International Museum, the Museum of San
Diego History, etc.).
And do it all while enjoying a mild climate, 70 miles of beautiful San Diego beaches and, almost always, incredible ocean
and bay views.
Whatever your idea of the perfect San Diego getaway, Endless Vacation Rentals offers accommodations with kitchens, balconies
and other amenities to help make the experience complete.

Eat...
Fillippi's Pizza Grotto (San Diego). This quaint Italian restaurant in the Little Italy neighborhood (and other area locations)
is just the way you remembered it as a kid. Try the pizza, of course, or a heaping helping of lasagna, or the antipasta salad,
or the spaghetti with enormous meatballs...
Waterfront Bar and Grill (San Diego). A San Diego area favorite since 1934, the Waterfront serves up mouthwatering burgers
and a variety of locally brewed ales.
Acapulco (San Diego). Brunch and happy hour specials make this popular Mexican chain restaurant in Old Town a favorite among
locals who are closely watching their wallets.
Play...
SeaWorld (San Diego). Come see an array of spectacular shows where the stars are killer whales, dolphins, sea lions, walruses
and seals. And if that isn't enough to satisfy your animal fix, consider adding a trip to the world-famous San Diego Zoo.
Legoland (Carlsbad). As if the supersized Lego creations aren't enough, the family is sure to enjoy the more than 50 rides,
shows and other attractions.
Disneyland (Anaheim). Perhaps it goes without saying, but no California family vacation destination generates more excitement
than a visit to the house of mouse. You'll be there in less than two hours' drive up scenic I-5 from San Diego.
Explore...
Cabrillo National Monuments (Point Loma). Explore the tide pools, tour the Old Point Loma Lighthouse, or stake out a spot
to view migrating gray whales (December-March). On a clear day, you'll be able to see for what seems like forever.
Hike a beach, park or state reserve. San Diego is one of America's fittest cities, because there are literally hundreds of
places to explore on foot. For wonderful ocean or lake views, consider walking along Mission Beach, hitting the trails at
Torrey Pines State Reserve, or pounding the paved trail around Lake Miramar Reservoir. The Sierra Club sponsors frequent hikes
as well.
Shop...
The Kettner Art and Design District (San Diego). Find everything from fine home furnishings to vintage, hand-blown glass along
this popular stretch of retail shops and art galleries.
Seaport Village (San Diego). The location is the San Diego waterfront, but the look feels more like Cape Cod. Find good deals
surrounded by flowers, fountains and great water views.
